Wanda Lorraine Carney, 44, of Dover, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

Born June 15, 1966, in Dover, Mrs. Carney was the daughter of Ronald Carney Sr. and Carolyn Mosley Carney.

She enjoyed canning vegetables and fruits; having family and friends over for summer barbeques; and having her nephews, Kaden and Drew, over for visits. She had been a caregiver for her grandmother, Dorothy Mosley, up until her illness.

Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Ethel Carney; her grandfather, James E. Mosley Sr.; and her mother-in-law, Joyce A. Vandetti.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her long-time companion of 22 years, Nicholas Vandetti; two daughters, Ashley Carney and her companion Mike, and Kristen Carney; two sons, Nicky and Robert Vandetti; two grandchildren, Kasey and M.J., all of Dover; a brother Andy Carney and his wife Pam; two nephews, Kaden and Drew of Magnolia; her grandmother, Dorothy Mosley of Cheswold; her loving Aunt Winnie of Cheswold; two special cousins, Sissy Seeney and Tammy Mosley of Cheswold; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
