He was married twice to Vicki Counts and Margaret Elmer. He worked for 31 years for General Motors where he retired in 2007. After retirement he spent his time as Manager at the Express Mart down the street from his house. He was a dedicated family man and wonderful friend. He loved to be around his family and friends to share stories and laughter. If you ever met "Moe" you were an instant friend and he was happy to share in good fortune and humor with everyone. He was truly at home on the grill. This is where he did his best work. On a sunny weekend you would find him out in the backyard grilling his carefully prepared dishes. The sweet smells of food and rich laughter will always be remembered as part of his legacy.

Cremin leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Charles (Moda) Sanders, Cremin Mosley III, Kerrye Mosley, Christian Mosley and Margaret Mosley. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Mosley and his sisters, Jackie Mosley and her companion Gene Kennedy and Deborah Durham and her husband Calvin Durham. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. We pray that his soul is at peace and he will be missed terribly.

Elva Perry Mosley 1919-1988
Contributed by James & Ellen (Mosley) Scarborough 9 Sep 2000

1. Funeral program: In Loving Memory of Elva Perry Mosley 1919-1988 Saturday April 9, 1988 2:00 P.M. Lincoln Street and Gibbs Drive, Dover, Delaware. Re Ethelbert L. Maddox, Officiating.

Elva Perry Mosley was born on January 1, 1919. She came to her demise on April 6, 1988, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ellen Perry.

All of her life, she resided in the Felton - Harrington area. Her regular attendance at John Wesley A. M. E. Church was halted due to her illness.

Elva and her loving husband, Kermit (deceased 1983), were united in Holy Wedlock in 1937 for 46 years. Their union was blessed with 13 children. All but one remain to cherish their parents love and memory.

Family and love epitomize the full and happy life that Elva enjoyed. During her forty-six years of marriage and until her health was impaired, Elva diligently cared for and nurtured her family.

The size of her own family did not prevent Elva from sharing her great wealth of love with her parents and siblings, her children and their families, and the children of her many relatives, friends and neighbors that visited her home.

Elva’s humble demeanor and radiant disposition was always pleasant. That ever present smile of hers left no doubt of her warmth and gentleness. It was full of love and peace. Never complaining about her existence, she seemed quite satisfied with herself and her life.

Both Elva and Kermit were highly respected within their families and the community. It was a well deserved tribute for the pride and togetherness of their family.

The care and love Elva gave to her children was readily and unselfishly returned, during her confinement. Their concern and attention towards their mother is a true testimony of her life. A life well-lived filled with an abundance of love and happiness.

Elva shall be sadly lamented but affectionately remembered by all who knew and loved her, especially the following: her adoring children; Donald, Ellen, Pearl, Nelson, Doris, James, Joyce, Randall, Charles, Kenneth, Richard and Darlene and their mates; her cherished (36) grandchildren and (21) great grandchildren; her loving sister and brothers; Lula and Isaac, both of Harrington, James of Felton, Harold of Frederica and Randall of Columbus, GA; her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5

In Memory of Buss Mosley:Well as you all must know on Friday, August 13 we lost yet another good man to his final resting place. My uncle James Mosley some may know him as "Buss" or "Little Man" I knew him as an Uncle you where happy to see every time he came around. A man, that if you knew him you loved him. He was definatly a beauty in this path we call life. Never an unkind word had I ever heard him speak. From his wife, children, grand/great grand children, his sibling, to neices and nephews to family or friends, I have never heard a cross word.  Like a flower his smile and his love blossomed in every life it entered. Uncle Buss was the last of his family to make the journey home to that final resting place in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and without a doubt he entered the Golden Gates with pride. I can remember as a child we could not wait for him to show up so that we could get gum, boy he knew it cause he always came prepared. Every day we could gaurantee he would show up after work to see us. After mom "Dolly Sammons" lost her father Linwood "Tuke" Mosley, Uncle Buss became his replacement and we could not have ask for a better one. Rest now Uncle Buss, you have now returned with all your siblings and your mom and dad. It was not to long ago that I watched you mourn the loss of another great man, Uncle Tink. Now you both are looking down on the rest of us with a grin from ear to ear. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more heart ache will you ever have to bare. We love you dearly and will miss you greatly. Your going home has hurt us, and time will heal the pain. The comfort we have is knowing that we will see again someday. Keep the light on for us! DEEPLY LOVED, SADLY MISSED.............Kim Sammons Ortiz and familyp.s. can you give Pop Pop, Uncle Tink, Aunt Louise and Aunt Dot a kiss for us?

Janet Ruth Mosley   1947-1979
16 Aug 1994

Mystery solved? Woman unidentified for 15 years may be from Vineland

A 15-year mystery about a dead woman without a known identity may have reached its final chapter when Lori Frame picked up the newspaper Saturday morning.

Frame, 21, read of the woman whom the Greenville County coroner’s office had tried to identify since her body was discovered in October of 1979 in downtown Greenville.

Reading an excerpt from the suicide note, Frame became suspicious. Then she became convinced — the woman was her aunt, Janet Ruth Mosley, from Vineland, N.J.

In the note the woman begged forgiveness from her parents and then wrote, “I’m sorry. I love Lori and Jason Mark and Jimmy Allen.”

“That’s my name,” Ms. Frame said to herself as she read the article, first published Friday in The (Columbia) State and distributed statewide by The Associated Press.

The other names in the note had to be her brother Jason, 17, and her cousins Mark, 19, and Jimmy Allen, 27.

“1 knew it had to be her,” Ms. Frame said.

Frame said she might never have seen the article if she hadn’t moved to Anderson a year ago from Florida. She was 6 when her aunt disappeared, so she called her uncle, Bob Mosley, in Titusville, Fla.

Mosley flew here Sunday and met with Deputy Coroner Lynn Wood to try to identify his sister from investigative reports and personal items left with the badly decomposed body.

The body was in such bad shape when it was found that investigators couldn’t even get fingerprints from it. They could only guess at the cause of death and think it was a drug overdose.

Wood showed Mosley the personal effects, including a ring, a purse and fragments of clothing.

The only item Mosley picked up was the small silver ring. He turned it over in his fingers several times and said the small details were hard to remember after 15 years.

“I’m 99 percent certain it’s her,” he said as he walked away.  Janet Ruth Mosley was 32, unmarried and just out of a New Jersey mental hospital when she disappeared in 1979.

Positive identification, using dental records, should be completed some time this week, Wood said. But even before then, Wood said, she’s sure 15 years of work has ended.

Mosley’s parents, Joseph and Lena Mosley, still live in Vineland. The couple told The (Columbia) State Sunday that their daughter had been released from a mental hospital a few weeks before they last saw her in September of 1979.

She had been staying with them but decided to leave one day, saying she wanted to go to Florida, where she had been living.

Then she left without her suitcase and told her mother she was going to look for a job. That was the last time they saw their daughter.

They thought at first she was in a mental hospital somewhere, but a nationwide search turned up nothing.

Lena Mosley said she isn’t certain why her daughter ended up in Greenville, except that she had stayed here once
