They are from a Bible that had belonged to Anthony Gould Pierce and Louise “Louie” R. Cuff Pierce, who can be found on this page:

Notice that the author of the letter to Social Security, Francelia H. Pierce Hughes, doesn’t seem to be listed in the report. She’s listed on the Births page of the Bible as well, middle name Hannah. I can’t quite make out her brother Chester’s middle name (perhaps Larance). Kimberly said the Bible is very fragile and falling apart, and that these pages were stuck in the front of the Bible. I told her the Family Record pages are usually in the middle (between the Old and New Testament) and perhaps the Births page came loose and someone just stuck it in the front of the Bible. I suggested she go back and look between the Old and New Testaments to see if there are any Marriages or Deaths pages, and she said she would let me know if she found anything else. (She also found a lock of hair in the Bible but I didn’t save the scan of that). |
